Bear in the Woods
A preacher felt overwhelmed by the demands of his congregation and decided to take a
day off. One Sunday, he claimed he was sick and got someone else to hold services. He went
for a walk in the woods to clear his head.
He was walking head down, not paying attention when he suddenly ran into a large bear.
The bear growled hungrily at him. The preacher called out to God, "Please make this
bear a Christian! I promise I wont skip services again if you only make this bear a
Christian!"
Just then there was a thunder clap. The bear fell to its knees, put its paws together,
and bowed its head in prayer. "Dear Lord", it said, "Bless this meal I am
about to receive." |
